Prior to the meeting being called to order, but with all persons in attendance, the men from the DCCC were given the floor to have a discussion on their ideas for our Ranch Rodeo. We asked for and will receive their help in running this event for a share of the profits. It was decided that the Ranch Rodeo would be limited to 12 teams and 4 events + a Mutton Bustin. The Ranch Rodeo will be a 70% payout. There was a brief intermission while the men were shown the arena and it’s amenities. Everything is on the books to have a Ranch Rodeo on the 17th of October at 6 PM.

The meeting was called to order by TP at 7:36 pm. Minutes from August’s board meeting were read by KM, Motion was made by VR to accept the minutes as read and JH seconded, motion carried. VR presented the Financial Statement and BW motioned to accept them and KL seconded, motion carried. Meeting as follows:

1. We will be charging $5 admission for the Ranch Rodeo and have the concession stand open, with a possibility of inviting other vendors such as Ms. Piggy’s again. We will have 2 extra potties brought in one being a handicap.

2. It was decided that there would be a membership meeting at the September 19th playday at which time there would be the following things discussed:

3. We need to water the arena for the Saturday playday. Some on Friday night and again (if there is not a good rain) Saturday Morning.

4. The board felt that we would like to have Mack Ginn as our announcer again!!

5. New Business:

a. Dwaine Rowe - felt that we should be encouraged about the Ruuska team for the amazing job that they did with the video. This was HUGE and really helped our rodeo.

b. We need to consider what might we do in case of rain for video and other things.

c. Possibly for the next event we could make sure that there is signage and possibly some crowd

control lines for 2 to 3 entrance lines in to the rodeo to ease in getting people in efficiently.
d. We need to list the prices for tickets in the ticket booths as well as outside for clarification to all
involved.

e. We need to post “No Smoking” signs and “No Cooler or outside food or drinks” signs.

f. We should consider removing “added money” from barrels to increase the Bull Riding and other rough stock riders.
